“I didn’t even consider the NIPT by GenePlaneT test until a situation occurred that turned my world upside down. I never even consider something might be wrong or out of the ordinary duringmy pregnancy. After all, I’m a healthy 25-year-old and major deviations from an ordinary pregnancy aren’t expected. However, the results from my nuchal translucency examination wereconcerning, to say the least, which came in as quite a shock.
As in most similar cases, the next step was the undertaking of the double test. Days of uncertainty and expectations dragged on to what seemed like an eternity. Finally, the results came, however, the few words informing me of the absence of irregularities, didn’t seem to calm me down whatsoever. After endless days of worrying and imaging all kinds of worst-case scenarios, ashort two sentence message cannot possibly rid all that anxiety. All I wanted was to achieve that carefree state of mind, just as before the initial results. I knew I had to do something, something that would ensure me of my child’s safety during the rest of my pregnancy. And that is exactly what the prenatal NIPT BY GENEPLANET test offers. One of my friends had already doneit and she recommended the test to me upon hearing about my situation. The more I read about it, the more I knew that this test was the only thing that could calm my anxiety. As a typicalpregnant woman, I did my research and found that the reliability of a nuchal translucency test is only 75%, in combination with DHT 85%, while the NIPT by GenePlanet test is more than 99%accurate. In addition, the nuchal translucency has a 5% false positive, while the NIPT test by GenePlanet showed a false positive in only 0.05% cases.
